After a while device is corrupted. The reason is decreasing of H+ ions in the cation resin and OH- ions in the anion resin. The process is called saturation.
Process of regeneration: Restoring resin mode
In order to return resin to the working condition the following steps must be taken.
The process is called regeneration
A - Backwash for 30 minutes
B- Injection of Sodium hydroxide into anion tank and sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid into cation tank
C - Washing the resin with water to remove extra Acid & Sodium hydroxide from resin
This machine can do best with its tanks and anti-acid system (pipes, fittings, valves).
Duration in which the device is then required to regenerate is determined by density of water ions and the duration of device function.
To make the system have a good performance, following notes should be taken into consideration:
Backwash should be done regularly.
System must be protected from extreme heat and cold.
Prevent mixing of external materials with acid or Sodium hydroxide during the regeneration.
Water entering the resins bed must be free of suspended solids caused by sand filters, cyclone, free chlorine, color, iron and organic pollutants.
Deionizer is designed and constructed according the maximum amount of passing water from system and also the sequential hours of use per day, so water passing through the system should be less than the maximum recommended by the company.
In this case the potency of activated carbon filter is saved.
Connect Water inlet to System Input and output of machine to network. Pour resin into system from top valve of the tank. Then seal the valve cap.
It is better to connect wastewater disposal s to wastewater line so that outlet wastewater of each tanks are combined to neutralize each other. Note that wastewater of this machine is acidic or basic.
After complete installation of system
First fill tank with water from bottom with backwash method, then the air comes out.
During filling the tank from the bottom wastewater line should be open to put the air out.
The resins should be regenerated before use.
