Basically, it is necessary that any waste and suspended materials of water should be removed for any use. Filtration is a physical method for removal of suspended solids in water. This aerosol can be mud, colors, particles produced in coagulation, accumulation of sedimentation particle, sediments like calcium carbonate, sediment of iron and manganese, organic materials, Plankton, bacteria and particles from corrosion and so on.
Pressure filters of our company are the type of deep filters (Filters that removal of suspended solids of water takes place in their bed. They work under pressure of water system.
Pressure sand filters types are horizontal and vertical.
Sand filters components:
Tanker: The tanker is made of stainless steel or colored steel.
Plumbing system: It is composed of a number of tubes and valves.
System bed: Inside the tank is anthracite and silica with a certain gradation.
Sand filter installation:
First of all provide a strong and suitable infrastructure for system.
Put the system on a level place.
After determining the location of the device put bed material (sand and anthracite) into tanker. Then close the inlet valve tightly. Water inlet and outlet pipes are installed at the end.
How to set up sand filter?
After installing the system, do the following to set it up:
Prepare Liquid chlorine in the following way and put it into filter (on the bed) through the inlet valve.
Solve 15 grams of powdered chlorine 70% in ten cubic meters of water for each tank volume per cubic meter. Then pour them into the tank.
In order to make filter functions well we must empty the air.
To do this, open valves 1 and 3, and close the others to enter water from bottom of the tank and lead the air in the bed upwards. This makes the bed air empty. Then we will continue the process again to clean the filter from chlorine.
Normal operation: Close valve 1 and then valve 3 and open valves 2 and 4, respectively.
When to wash the sand filter?
To determine the time of washing, based on experience, we can use the difference between pressure meters on the inlet and outlet of system.
Washing the sand filter:
After some time, the device bed is saturated depending on the amount of suspended solids in water and inlet flow rate. In these cases, the operator can act as follows:
Close all valves
Primary filter washing: Open valves one and three
Secondary filter washing: Open valves two and five
Normal operation of the filter: Open valves two and four
Sand filter maintenance:
Install and keep the device at a minimum temperature of 4 ° C.
Pay attention to the washing and regeneration of device bed.
Take care during transportation.
Pay attention to technical information such as pressure and flow rate.
Don’t close the outlet valve quickly. This may cause damages to the device.
Avoid Excessive tightening of pipes and fittings.
Please control and service multi-function valve continuously.
Take care! When installing the device, the location of the base should be fixed firmly on the ground to prevent its sinking. This causes pressure on the inlet and outlet tubes.
Special attention should be paid to air discharge in starting the device. Blocking the air in device bed can waste its particles.
If filter isn't empty more than three days in summer, Wash it before entering to the circuit.
If you can't wash filter due to lack of enough water, it is necessary to make it empty from water before entering the circuit. Then fill it with water again. Finally wash it for three minutes or more.
